Mold Flow & Structural Analysis

We perform limited structural analysis using COMOS Analytics. This simple but effective analytical tool applies stresses to the part to see if it meets the customer load and stress requirements.

Rapid Prototyping:

Rapid prototyping is the next step in the development of the part design. After a product has been designed in 3d Solid Works software, it can be taken to the next level in the design process. There are several ways to make a part that can be an evaluated without investing in a prototype mold or production mold.  CMPP has these in house rapid prototype capabilities.

Custom Molded Plastic Parts offers the following rapid prototyping services:

CNC Machining

Custom Molded Products (CMPP) has an extensive investment in computers and computer machining systems. We have developed systems that allow us to be a leader in precision machining in a variety of plastic resins. We can machine ABS, PVC, Nylon, PEEK PET, PP, HDPE and many others. Using CNC machining centers, with tool changers, we can produce any 3 axis product design in a fast and dimensionally accurate manner.

CNC machining center

Our approach to CNC Rapid Prototyping is to take your CAD File and by using Master cam XT, Surf Cam or Virtual Gibbs program the CNC and make your prototype.  All of our machines are networked from our central programming center. We then send the program out on a windows XP platform and produce your parts.

Custom Molded plastic Parts offers exceptional 3d modeling services.

A 3d model file can be turned into a prototype made from durable ABS. ABS material is the material of choice for most modeling. ABS can be machined, glued, painted, printed on or polished. The model is constructed in .010 layers with exceptional tolerances.

The 3d modeling may be used in the following applications, including:

  • Concept Model for form, fit and function
  • Photographic Models for sales literature
  • Proof of Data Models to verify dimensions and strengths
  • Master Models for RTV Molding. Through outsourcing Investment Casting Masters

The 3D modeling process has a part size limitation of: 10" x 10" x 12" high after which the design must be constructed in sections and glued together.
